Welcome to Oak Point Elementary School!
Welcome to Oak Point Elementary! We are the newest K-6 school in Eden Prairie. 2011-12 will be our first year. As we open our doors, we are projecting a K-5 enrollment of approximately 1317 students. We'll have:

- 2 Half-Day Kindergarten Classes (one morning/one afternoon)
- 5 First Grade Classes
- 4 Second Grade Classes

During our first year, most of the district's 6th grade students will also be part of our school. We will have 21 sixth grade classrooms. In the 2012-13 school year, Oak Point will have 4 sixth grade classrooms.

We welcome you to our school and hope you will be here often during the upcoming school year. We are clear that the more parents are involved in their children's education both at home and at school, the greater the academic, social, and emotional development of children.
We are very excited about our new school! We are working to create a place where our elementary students thrive ... a place where all our students feel safe, secure, and happy. This environment promotes learning and high academic achievement.
We'll continue to update this site as things progress during the spring and summer. Please contact me with any questions you may have (chrichter@edenpr.org or 952.975.7611). I look forward to partnering with you in your child's education at Oak Point Elementary.
Sincerely,
Chuck Richter Principal
